I've been working on finishing off a few projects lately (i.e. weaving in ends, adding buttons, etc.). Here's a few of my latest and greatest projects.
Here's a view of the back. SOOO cute! I wasn't thinking of using a backing like this at all. I was thinking of robots or pirates or something like that, but couldn't find anything that I was picturing in my mind. And then I found this fabric and the colors matched just perfectly, how could I not buy it! And you can't tell from the pictures, but it has this adorable bright red piped edge all the way around! So cute! It really sets the blanket off!

This is a little hat I knitted up for my coming baby... I've decided that since I'm a knitter, my baby shouldn't have to wear the hat that they get at the hospital right after they're born. I should bring my own with me! Of course! So I knitted this up while we were on vacation in Trinidad and Tobago. (Actually the funny thing is that I wasn't planning on using this yarn, I was going to use this for a pair of socks while on vacation. But then I left my sock pattern on the plane by accident, so I frogged what I had done and started on this adorable little hat!)

And of course he needs matching booties to wear at the hospital too. And it didn't hurt that I still had a TON of yarn after I finished the hat, and I needed something else to work on while we were on vacation. I think they turned out pretty cute, we'll see though. I'm not sure if I'm a big "baby bootie" kind of person. It was fun to knit them up though and it kept me busy.
Aren't these booties sooo adorable! After I finished the hat and the other booties, I decided that I'd better make some girl booties too (we didn't know whether we were having a boy or a girl yet...). I found this pattern a while ago, and decided to try it out (plus I'd knitted the other things so quickly and we still had a few days left on our trip....next time I need to plan more projects!). I LOVE them! Now to find a worthy home for them...
I've also finished a hat for big M, but she didn't want to pose with it on this afternoon...so we'll have to try that one again later.

Love, love, love, those little girl booties.
And I still think you should open up shop. I think Etsy would be a perfect home for you!
I love that blanket! I guess when I think of knitting I never think of backing it with anything. I might need you to teach me a thing or two before we move.
