Remember when I stared knitting my Mary Poppins carpet bag??
Well I finished knitting and felting it almost two months ago, but I've been waiting to post pictures of it until I had it lined and everything. Finally today I sewed the final stitch of the lining...and it's gorgeous! Definitely the fanciest bag I've ever made...and one of the nicest. I love it!
I added a stiffener in the sides and bottom so that it can stand up all by itself. Made a few funky felted flowers...
And then put in this gorgeous satin brocade lining! Isn't it awesome?

This is going to be a bag I use for nice occasions, probably for going to the temple. I have a feeling I'll use it for years to come. What do you think?

I have yet to felt anything. I need to visit you and get motivated to try. Your bag looks awesome. I love the lining, and I love the flower.
