some things I've been working on...

I've been busily working on christmas presents.  My christmas knitting list is getting smaller and smaller!  I'm so glad I decided to start in June this year.  I'm not as crazily stressed as I've been in previous years...and I think I'll be all done by Thanksgiving.  I've seen a few christmas items that I want to knit up, and I think I'll actually be able to since I'll have all my presents out of the way.  Last night I finished up my dad's mittens.  Earlier this week I finished off the second mitten for my brother...I'm glad to have those mittens out of the way.  Last week I knitted up a cabled hat (picture above) for a friend of mine who had a baby boy a month after I had Jack.  I was hoping to give it to them earlier this week...but that didn't happen.  They're moving soon, so hopefully I'll see them before they take off.  Tonight I think I'll start a hat for my niece that will be joining the family next month...I'm thinking of making the sweet pea hat...I have some cute yarn I could use for that.  I'm also working on this pair of socks.  Just using a plain black...but the pattern is interesting, so I'm not dying of boredom.  Hopefully by the weekend I'll have finished off the hat and one of the socks.  knit knit knit!  and off I go!
just look at this boy's crazy hair!  what a cute boy.
