Maryland Sheep & Wool Festival

This weekend was the Maryland Sheep & Wool Festival.  I had no idea how big this was!  I took all three kids with me (what was I thinking!!) and just parking was an ordeal.  We parked in this HUGE field and it probably took 20 mins just to walk over to the fairgrounds.  There were so many people!  We walked around and looked at all the different types of sheep first and then I wanted to wander through the different vendors and spend my birthday money.  Seriously trying to do this with 3 kids is ridiculous!  My little one was in my sling and the two girls were each holding my hands.  There were just so many people that you couldn't really get in to the different booths.  So really we just walked straight through the vendor area.  Then we thought we'd walk down at watch the sheepdog demonstration (my oldest really wanted to see that!  she loves dogs!).  Of course we get down there after it was over.  sac.  Then the girls are hungry so we head off to get something to eat.  Pretzels!  Perfect.  Or not.  They took one bite and threw them on the ground.  what!  And that was the end of my day.  I was done.  So did I get any yarn?  did I get anything?  nope.  Just crying kids and a long walk to the car.  Next time I think that bringing my girls with me would be a good idea, someone talk me out of it.

(but aren't all these different sheep so cute?!  I loved seeing all the little lambs!  I wonder what my husband would think if I had brought a lamb home?  hmm....)

Wish I could've been there! Never take children anywhere that involves yarn - you're just asking for trouble. And please take a lamb home because I would LOVE to see your hubby's reaction.

I heard about that festival and I thought it was something you would like. I guess you already knew about it...and even if you didn't buy anything, at least you got the good memories you can bring up someday when your children have their own children:)
